Getting started
What is Vennjoy?
A place to discover films, series, video games, books, activities and events, keep your favourites and share ideas with other people.
Do I need an account to explore?
You can browse the public catalogue without an account. Sign in to keep your collection across devices and use member features.
Join VennjoyHow do I join?
Choose Join Vennjoy, enter your details and choose an available handle. Follow the confirmation email to verify your address.
Join VennjoyHow are my language and destination chosen?
Use the language menu to save your choice. Without a saved choice, the browser language helps select the interface; a translated link keeps its own language. Country detection can suggest a destination or store, but you can change the relevant filters yourself.
Discoveries
How do I find a title or an artist?
Use the Discover search. Suggestions distinguish people and types of discovery. On an artist page, filter the filmography by category or profession when available.
DiscoverDoes changing the site language translate every work?
The language menu changes the interface. Titles and descriptions use available translations; a work may keep its original language when no translation exists.
Can I choose my gaming platforms?
Yes. Open My gaming platforms from your account settings. Save the platforms you use to help personalise game recommendations.
My gaming platformsWhy is some information missing?
Not every catalogue entry has a summary, price, translation or image. Vennjoy updates available data automatically and does not invent missing information.
Can I watch films or play games on Vennjoy?
Vennjoy helps you choose what to discover; it does not stream full films or series or host games. Open the available external links to check access, platforms and any purchase or subscription conditions.
Where can I find sequels and seasons?
On a film or series page, look between the story and cast for its collection or seasons, when available. A missing poster or summary does not mean a season does not exist; some information may not yet be available.
Why do some buttons open partner sites?
Some links are affiliate links: Vennjoy may receive a commission if an eligible purchase follows. You complete the purchase with the partner, under its prices and conditions. Saving a discovery or joining a circle does not buy anything.
Books and listening
Why do the book language and store differ?
The book language describes the edition; the store is the country of purchase. Check both on Read together and on the book page before opening Apple Books.
Read togetherHow do I choose between an ebook and an audiobook?
In Read together, select the reading format before searching. An ebook is read and an audiobook is listened to. When a matching edition is known, its page links to the other format; language, price and availability may differ.
Read togetherCan I listen to a sample or read the whole book?
An audio sample is offered when available on the book page. For the complete work, use the Apple Books button and check the selected edition there. Vennjoy does not sell or provide the full book for download.
Why is a book price different or missing?
Prices belong to a particular store and edition and may change. A missing price does not mean the book is free. Check the current price and currency on Apple Books before buying; its checkout is authoritative.
Why is my country missing from a book’s stores?
The list shows stores for which Vennjoy currently knows that edition is available. It may be incomplete while information is updated. A store choice does not change your Apple account’s purchasing eligibility; confirm availability on Apple Books.
How do I narrow a book search?
Combine a title or author with the reading language, format and genre. Genres follow the selected format. If you find nothing, remove the genre or broaden the language filter; an edition’s language is separate from the site language.
Read togetherOutings and bookings
How do I find outings in another country?
Open Concerts and events or Activities and excursions, then use the destination filters. Dates and times for events refer to the venue’s local time.
Concerts and eventsDoes Vennjoy sell tickets?
No. The booking button opens the external seller. Check the final price, availability and conditions there; the seller handles payment, changes and refunds.
What if an event is postponed, cancelled or sold out?
Check the event status and the ticket seller’s page before travelling or paying. Updates may arrive after an organiser’s announcement. Contact the seller about tickets or refunds; a Vennjoy circle plan is not a booking.
Your collection
How do I keep a favourite?
Tap the heart on a discovery or artist page. Your favourites appear in My collection, where category filters help you find them again.
My collectionWhat is the difference between a favourite and saving for later?
A favourite says you love something and helps recommendations. Save for later keeps things you want to discover. You can use both on the same title.
My collectionCan I change my collection?
Yes. Tap an active heart or saved button again to remove that choice. Removing a favourite also changes the tastes used for future recommendations.
Is my entire collection public?
No. Your personal collection and your public profile are separate. Review your profile’s published selection and visibility settings to control what others can see.
My profileHow do I find something in my collection?
Choose favourites, saved discoveries or completed titles, then use the category tabs, search and sort menu. A title can belong to several lists. If a card seems missing, first clear the search and category filter.
My collectionWhat does marking a title as seen or played do?
It records your progress in your collection and helps avoid recommending that title again. It does not remove your favourite or saved choice. Use the same button again to undo the completed status.
My collectionDo favourite artists influence my recommendations?
Yes. Like an artist on their page to keep them in your collection and help suggest related works. Sharing an artist on your profile is a separate choice in your collection; liking alone does not publish it.
My collectionPersonal suggestions
What is For you?
Your personal starting point, with up to 15 suggestions around favourite titles and artists, upcoming circle plans and useful shortcuts. Adjust the selection to your interests and destination. The reasons shown explain why a discovery was suggested.
For youHow can I improve For you?
Add favourite titles and artists, then open Adjust my selection to choose your interests and destination. Set gaming platforms separately if relevant. The selection is prepared automatically; changes can take a little time to appear.
Adjust my selectionCan I hide an unsuitable suggestion?
Use Not interested on the suggestion in For you. It is removed from your personal suggestions, not from the catalogue or your collection. You can review hidden suggestions and restore a title if you change your mind.
Hidden suggestionsHow are my newsletter discoveries chosen?
Your tastes, favourite artists and preferences guide the selection. New releases means the last twelve months; you can instead select five years or all eras. Upcoming releases require a separate choice. Events must be in the future and match your destinations; activities must still be active. Only discoveries with a usable image are included. Up to four per category are available in your private selection, with two per category in the email by default. A limited automatic comparison can show three if you agree to measurement. If there are not enough suitable discoveries, Vennjoy sends fewer rather than repeats or unrelated items.
Personalise my discoveriesSharing and connections
How do I share a discovery in the feed?
Confirm your email and publish your profile first. In The feed, write a publication and use Attach a discovery to search the catalogue. Check the displayed visibility before publishing; it follows your profile.
The feedHow much can I write in a publication?
Standard publications, quotes and comments allow 280 characters. Eligible official Vennjoy accounts and accepted affiliates have 1,000. The editor shows your current limit.
Who can see a private profile’s publications?
Only the account owner and accepted followers can read them. A pending follow request does not grant access. Visibility is checked again when shared content is opened.
My connectionsCan I keep a publication for later?
Use the save action on a publication and find it in your saved feed. Saved publications are private; access still depends on the author’s current visibility settings.
The feedHow do I report abuse?
Use Report on the relevant publication or discussion. For an account problem or a wider issue, contact Vennjoy under Report abuse and include the page address.
ContactHow do following and blocking work?
Follow a member from their profile; private profiles require acceptance. Manage requests, followers and blocked accounts in My connections. Blocking removes follow links between the two accounts, but is not a way to hide public content from people browsing while signed out.
My connectionsCan I edit or delete my publications and comments?
Use the menu on your own publication or comment. Review edits before saving. Deleting removes the content from Vennjoy’s displays, but cannot remove copies someone may already have made outside the site.
Which photos and GIFs can I publish?
A publication can contain up to four still JPEG, PNG or WebP photos, each up to 8 MB and 40 megapixels. Add a description for accessibility. Animated GIFs and animated images are not currently accepted; sharing an animation link is not the same as uploading it.
Is my draft saved automatically?
The new-publication editor saves the text and attached discovery to your account when its saved indicator appears. The draft is private. Selected photo files are not saved in the draft: choose them again after leaving the page.
The feedHow do reposts, quotes and mentions work?
Repost shares an eligible publication; Quote adds your own text. Type @ followed by a handle to mention a member. Sharing never grants access to private content: the original author’s current visibility still applies.
How do I control notifications and emails?
Open Notification preferences from your account settings to choose mentions, replies, reactions, messages, follows, circles and release updates. The daily email summary is optional. Turning off an alert does not block the member or stop messages from arriving.
Notification preferencesWhat do account types and badges mean?
Profiles can identify a person, artist or organisation. A verification badge and an organisation affiliation are distinct: a small organisation logo shows a confirmed link, not ownership of every opinion posted. Request verification in Edit profile → Type and verification; choosing a type alone does not verify an account.
Edit profilePrivate conversations
How do I send a private message?
Confirm your email and publish your profile, then use Message on an eligible member’s profile. A message can contain up to 2,000 characters and an attached discovery. Private conversations do not appear in the public feed or search engines. They are not end-to-end encrypted.
Private messagesWhy is a message waiting for acceptance?
If the recipient does not follow you, your first message may be a request. Wait for acceptance before sending more. In message settings, choose requests, only people you follow, or no new contacts. This setting concerns new conversations.
Messaging preferencesWhat can I do about an unwanted private message?
Decline an unwanted request, report the message from the conversation, or block the member. A report sends the relevant message to authorised moderators for review; it is not posted publicly. Never send passwords or verification codes in a conversation.
Private messagesCircles and plans
What is a circle?
A private space for its members to suggest discoveries, discuss and organise plans. Share invitation links only with people you want to invite.
My circlesHow do I create a circle and invite friends?
Open Circles, create a named circle and share its invitation link with the intended people. Members must sign in and confirm their email. A circle has up to 12 members. The owner can renew the invitation link to invalidate the previous one.
My circlesCan I leave a circle or manage its members?
Members can leave from the circle’s controls. The owner can remove a member, renew the invitation link or delete the circle; the owner cannot simply leave their own circle. Removing someone withdraws their access to its private discussions and plans.
My circlesHow do we organise a plan together?
From a circle or discovery, propose a plan with a date, time zone and meeting place. Members can answer yes, maybe or no and download a calendar file. Changing the time or place asks others to confirm again; the calendar download is not a live subscription.
My circlesAccount and privacy
What is my handle?
Your unique @name identifies your profile and lets people mention you. Handles contain 3–30 characters, start with a letter and use unaccented letters, digits or underscores. Capitalisation can be displayed, but does not create a separate identity.
Your handleHow do I change my email address?
Open My collection, Account settings, then Edit profile. Use the email field below your display name and follow the confirmation steps shown.
Edit profileI forgot my password. What should I do?
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page and enter your account email. For security, the response does not reveal whether an account exists. Check your spam folder too.
Forgot your password?I have not received the verification email.
Check the address in your account and your spam folder. Use Resend email from My collection if needed. Do not share verification links or codes with anyone.
My collectionCan I control search-engine visibility?
Yes. Review the indexing choice in your public profile settings. A private or unpublished profile is not made public by this option. Search engines may take time to reflect changes.
My profileHow can I protect my account?
Use a unique password and enable two-factor authentication in Account settings. Keep recovery codes privately. Vennjoy support will never need your password.
Two-factor authenticationHow can I export my data or delete my account?
Both options are in My collection, Account settings. Deletion is permanent; read the confirmation carefully. Security records can remain for the retention period described in Privacy.
Account settingsHow do I personalise my public profile?
Open My public profile from your account settings to choose a photo, cover, biography and featured discoveries. Preview before publishing. Your display name is edited under Edit profile; your handle has its own setting.
My profileWhat is the difference between a private and unpublished profile?
A private published profile requires your approval before followers can see its protected content; its identity can still be visible. Unpublishing hides the profile page. Review the visibility control separately from the search-engine option.
My profileCan I change my handle or its capital letters?
Open the handle setting from your account and confirm with your password. Availability and a waiting period may apply; the form explains them. Capital letters change presentation, not uniqueness: @Ben and @ben cannot belong to different people.
Your handleMy authentication code does not work. What should I do?
Use the current code for Vennjoy in your authenticator and check that your phone’s time is set automatically. A saved recovery code can replace it once. After repeated failures, wait before trying again; if you have lost both, contact support without sending any secret codes.
Where can I change my cookie choice?
Open Cookie choices in the footer to review optional consent. Essential cookies keep sign-in and security working. Clearing cookies can sign you out and remove remembered choices; refusing optional cookies is different from deleting your account.
Cookie preferencesHow do I receive or stop my personal discoveries?
Choose Newsletter in your account. Select weekly, monthly or yearly delivery, your categories and your destinations. Subscribing is optional and your email must be verified. To stop, use Unsubscribe in any newsletter or disable it in your account. Your other account emails remain enabled.
NewsletterTechnical help
A search is taking longer. What can I do?
A title not yet in the catalogue may need a short preparation; keep the page open while it updates. If it stays stuck, try again later or contact support with the page address, filters and time. Repeated reloads do not make it faster. Never send a login or recovery link.
How do I contact Vennjoy?
Use Contact in the footer and choose the closest category. Signed-in accounts have their contact details filled in automatically. Keep the reference shown after submission for follow-up.
ContactWhy can I no longer open a shared page?
Check that you are signed in to the right account. A profile may have become private or unpublished, a follow request may still be pending, or content may have been removed. A circle link can expire when its owner replaces it; ask for a new invitation rather than creating another account.
