Two brothers, Sten and Jonas, own and live on a farm near Ätran in Falkenberg. Jonas tries to put a stop to this but has to agree to play Sten's wife for a day in order to trick the person who is going to buy the smuggled alcohol. It turns out that Jonas has invited two summer guests to rent the chicken coop for a week, the young woman Anna and her father Göte . Jonas falls in love with Anna, and everything becomes even more confusing when the completely idiotic neighbor Ivar Rask understands everything in his own way.
