The Serpent and his Sins

Severu Serpico is the man I've loved in secret for years.

He's the merciless leader of one of the most dangerous Camorra clans in Canada.

He's also dead.

No one knew about my feelings for him. Not even Severu himself. Quietly, I carry the grief of his loss. A silently seeping wound.

Until the day my family tries to marry me off to someone else. Panicking, I come up with the only lie that's big enough to save me:

I tell everyone I'm engaged to the late Severu Serpico. Practically a widow, I can't be expected to marry another man so soon.

And Severu certainly won't refute my deception from the grave.

Until he suddenly reappears in Toronto.

Bloodied. Angry. And very much alive.

The Serpent and his Sins is part one of a duet and book one of the Creatures of the Camorra series. It is a dark age-gap mafia romance that takes place in the same timeline/universe as Vero Heath's other series.
