A Jack McEvoy Thriller

He raised his head off the bed and brought his mouth to her ear.

'People call me The Shrike,' he whispered.

In this thriller from #1 bestselling author Michael Connelly, a murderer stalks the shadows and stalwart journalist Jack McEvoy finds himself on the trail of a serial killer who has been operating for years completely under the radar.

Jack has taken down killers before, but when a woman he once had a one-night stand with is murdered in a particularly brutal way, he realises he might be facing a criminal mind unlike any he's ever encountered. A hunter with a unique kill signature.

Against the warnings of the police and his own editor, Jack sets out to track down the predator, walking a thin line between investigation and obsession, and he makes a shocking discovery, connecting mysterious deaths across the country. Is the link between targets the personal data shared by the victims themselves?

A masterful thrill-ride exposing a terrifying dark side of the Information Age...
