Milo Purdue knew going home to Whisper Mountain, Montana, would be the exact wrong decision.
Whisper Mountain. Population 792. Home of one grocery store, two traffic lights, a post office, and Camp Grizzly. Oh, and the location of the massacre of a hundred and thirty-one people at a world-famous, all-inclusive dude ranch that catered to the world’s millionaires and billionaires.
The mass murder remained unsolved seven years later, and the last place Milo wants to be is near that sleepy mountain town.
But he has no choice.
Not if he wants to keep Camp Grizzly—the troubled youth boys’ camp he owns and operates—afloat.
Armed with his steeled spine and a wariness that follows him like a cloud, he heads home, right to the scene of those murders, moving his friends and troubled boys with him.
He was prepared for almost everything.
Then he sees Ophelia Prestwick, proprietor of hell on Earth—also known as Whisper Ranch. Site of the unsolved murders that still haunted him to this day, and the place that they’re to call home.
Ophelia asks him to respect her boundaries. Tells him she wants nothing to do with him. His camp. Or his troubled youth.
But as each day passes, he becomes more and more enamored.
More and more sure that she’s meant to be his.
The only problem was, secrets lie between them, and he’ll have to confess his sins if he ever wants her to truly be his. Even if those sins might destroy her.
