TOP GUN LEGACY: Biography of Jerry Beaulier

He was the first to pull the trigger. The shot that changed everything.

In the skies over Vietnam, U.S. Navy fighter pilot Jerome "Beau" Beaulier made history by being the first Top Gun graduate to down an enemy MiG—a split-second decision captured on classified gun camera footage that would help validate one of the most legendary training programs in military history: TOP GUN.

But Jerry's story didn't end with medals or military glory.

In Top Gun Legacy, follow the extraordinary life of a man who walked away from war and quietly reshaped the world around him. From pioneering in-flight entertainment systems in commercial aviation to founding a beloved Disabled Beach Wheelchair charity in St Andrews, Scotland, Jerry's journey bridges continents, generations, and causes.

With his Scottish Border Collie "Skippy" at his side and a Green Bay Packers cap pulled low over silver hair, Jerry now watches the North Sea from a handmade bench, just across from the ruins of a medieval castle. To the locals, he's simply a neighbor and a friend. Few know the sky-splitting legacy he carries.

This is the untold story of courage, humility, and a life well-lived—from cockpit to coastline.
