Chief Inspector Ellen Norgaard is shocked when she meets the dead woman's husband, the equally well-known TV presenter Jonas Gomez, at the crime scene. The two are connected by the well-kept secret of a passionate affair. Karin Lossow senses that Ellen is in a bad way. The detective pours her heart out to her friend. Nobody at the police station suspects that Ellen was seeing Jonas Gomez at the time of the crime. It would mean the certain end of her career in the police force and the probable end of the career of her lover, who has no alibi for the time of the crime and is also being blackmailed.
