Elypsia Records and Metroplex Records present a celebration of four decades of Detroit techno, and its wider musical legacy, hosted at Q-Factory, Amsterdam during ADE 2026. Bringing together pioneering figures, established innovators and a new generation of artists inspired by the Motor City, the event will highlight the intersection between Detroit, Chicago and the European electronic music community.
Expect a range of DJ sets and live performances showcasing the pioneering work of Juan Atkins and the enduring legacy of his label Metroplex, complemented by the raw soul and energy of Scan 7, Octave One, Cem 3340 & 2030, Cyrcadian Rhythms, Pascal Hetzel and Terrence Dixon, in the Main Room to DJ Pierre, Kenny Larkin, Dimitri, Isis and contemporary interpretations from artists including Acida Dominga and Alinka in the House Room.
The event also provides an early glimpse into the vision behind Four Decades of Detroit Techno: Vol.1, an upcoming compilation project featuring the music, artists and creative energy that have shaped Detroit's electronic music legacy across 40 years.
