After the death of their grandmother, Andy is left without a « caretaker ». Refusing to live in a group home, he insists on moving in with their father, Bruce, whom they lost touch with after he fled his responsibilities. The two brothers then set out on a road trip to find their father, a disgraced former professional tennis player, now living in seclusion near the Salton Sea, in the California desert.
