Silence of Snow

She came to heal. He came to hunt. A killer is coming for them both. Lanette came to Knife’s Edge to recover from injuries that nearly killed her and ignore the complications waiting back home. The small Alaskan town is only supposed to be a place to heal before she decides what comes next. But Flint Kincaid works from there, and since he once saved her life, he believes her well-being is his business. The attraction between them is hot enough to tempt her, but getting attached to a man with deep roots in mountains she doesn’t plan to call home is another matter. Flint has his hands full hunting a serial killer who grows bolder with every merciless attack. He also knows Lanette plans to return to the city eventually. He wants her, but he has no interest in becoming another stop on her way to somewhere else. And Lanette refuses to let the man who once took care of her decide she still needs saving, even if she most certainly does. When another body is found with the victim’s eyes removed, the pressure on Flint intensifies. Lanette may be finished with the CIA, but she still knows how to read danger, and something about the case won’t let her walk away. Neither will Flint. And when she spots a pattern everyone else missed, she may attract the attention of a killer with a brutal way of dealing with people who see too much.
