DO YOU REALLY WANT TO LIVE FOREVER?

Tech visionary Paul Whitmore is about to become the world’s oldest man. 122 years old, he appears no older than fifty; his company has unlocked the secret to eternal life and is ready to make it available to anyone who can pay.

With the planet on the cusp of a post-ageing future, there are many who are fearful about what that will mean — and some who are prepared to do anything to stop it.

When a new threat emerges targeting Paul’s estranged son, Max, Paul must protect him at all costs. But Max is 85, living in a etirement home, and has not spoken to his father since he was a child. As far as he’s concerned, Paul Whitmore can rot in hell.

Great wealth has kept Paul safe so far, but to save his elderly son, he’ll have to risk his company, his reputation, and ultimately immortality itself.

And yet by doing so, he might also rediscover the man he once was . . .

“The Natural Order is a bold, profound, and deeply moving novel. Matthew Aldrich takes a premise that could have been a pure high-concept thriller and turns it into something richer: a story about fathers and sons, grief and repair, and the terrible beauty of being mortal.”
—GLEN POWELL, Golden Globe-nominated star of Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone But You, and Twisters
