Thanks-Living

In every thing give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

A life of thanksgiving is a life infused with purpose and joy.

Our lives are divine gifts—but they don’t always feel like that. Life can feel like a tangle of thorns and thistles. It’s often marked with sorrow, disappointment, and heartache. So, how do we embrace or follow the biblical charge to give thanks in all things?

In his honest and encouraging book, Thanks-Living, Stu Epperson invites us into the beauty and joy found in life shaped by thanksgiving. Gratitude doesn’t mean denying the real grief and pain in our lives. Rather that we boldly anchor our hearts in God, in His presence and promises. We can give thanks in all things—because God is present in all things. Even in lack, we are not empty. Even when life feels uncertain, God is proven and trustworthy.

Cultivating a heart of gratitude is more than being polite. We’re actively pressing against the darkness of cynicism and despair. We’re participating in a deeper reality where God’s goodness meets us in both joy and struggle. Stu shows us how to meditate on and delight in the Word of God. He shares practical ways to embrace gratitude and build others up in the Lord. Gratitude amidst hardship is a powerful witnessing weapon, especially to those who don’t yet know Christ.

A daily commitment to gratitude can restore hope and joy to your everyday life. If you want to be light to a dark and desperate world, then join Stu in the journey of being Thanks-Living.
