The King (Unabridged)

Hard hitting. Fast paced. High stakes. Welcome to the eighth instalment of the Black Force Shorts series from Matt Rogers, a million-copy bestseller and 'a bright new talent shaking up the genre' (Candice Fox).

Deep in Northern Mali in the midst of its coup, Jason King demolishes a compound of regional Islamic terrorists in an attempt to free American aid workers held captive in the region. When he finds the reality of the situation at odds with the intel his handler fed him, he begins to doubt the validity of his orders.

For the first time in his life, King deceives his superiors and takes matters into his own hands. He returns stateside and begins a ruthless internal investigation the only way he knows how.

Because someone wanted him out of the U.S. And there'll be hell to pay until he finds out why.
