Du bois pour l'hiver

The story

Pierre, a forty-year-old man, has just been discharged from the clinic in which he was treated for alcoholism. The first thing he does is to try to make it up with his wife, a waitress in a bar. In the paper he finds an ad for a room to rent in a villa. The white house is ideally situated in a peaceful environment at the foot of a mountain. Its owners, Claudine and Jivko welcome him warmly...
