The Older Man Next Door

He’s a forty-two-year-old contractor who fixes everything. But the wounded twenty-six-year-old who just moved in upstairs might be the one thing that finally breaks his control.

Miles Rowe didn’t move into a fourth-floor Brooklyn walk-up looking for a savior. He moved to disappear. After a toxic relationship left him feeling disposable, he’s surviving on stale granola, exhaustion, and the conviction that he’s easy to have around but hard to love. He definitely isn't looking for the older, impossibly steady man on the second floor who keeps showing up with home-cooked meals, quiet patience, and forearms that should come with a warning label.

Julian Mercer is a load-bearing wall. For eleven years, he’s been the guy who holds the building together, fixing leaky faucets and burnt-out hallway lights, while keeping his own life neatly compartmentalized. He’s used to being necessary; he forgot what it feels like to be chosen. Until Miles. The anxious, beautiful copywriter with the dark eyes and shaking hands is the first person in years to make Julian want to tear down his own walls.

Julian is determined to go slow. He wants to show Miles what it actually feels like to be taken care of. But the electric, crackling tension between them can only be contained for so long. And when the restraint finally snaps, Julian is going to prove to Miles that he isn't just convenient—he’s everything.

The Older Man Next Door is a steamy, slow-burn MM romance featuring a protective older neighbor, intense hurt/comfort, heavy praise, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
