Road to Odawara

From the author of the delightful Gate to Kagoshima and Passage to Tokyo comes an exciting third time-travel tale in the Ancestor Memories Fantasy series—a young woman who travels back to the world of the Ninjas to find her missing son.

Charlotte Ida, a British expat living in Fujisawa, Japan, endures low-paid freelance work and a stale coexistence with her husband. The only thing keeping her together is her fourteen-year-old son, Jack.

One day, she begins to have stark, terrifying dreams about fire. Then, Jack disappears. Charlotte’s vision suddenly shifts backward four hundred years, and she sees everything through the eyes of someone else . . . including her missing son.

In this unfamiliar world, espionage, disguise, and murder are the tools of trade for Mitsu, a spy for warlord Oda Nobunaga. But while gathering intelligence in Odawara, she experiences something strange and unfamiliar—a young boy mysteriously appears out of thin air, claiming to know the fate of her lord.

Can Charlotte use what little control she has to help her son through Mitsu? Will Mitsu be able to protect Lord Nobunaga from the dark future Jack claims is approaching? And will their actions change history forever?
