Myrmidon

An e-book original action thriller by acclaimed author David Wellington.

Wounded Special Forces veteran Jim Chapel now specializes in missions improbable (and sometimes impossible). Armed with a prototype robotic arm and guided by his handler Angel, he tackles the covert missions regular agencies cannot risk (and will not touch).

When the contraband trail leads to the desert scrub south of Pueblo, Colorado, Chapel goes in alone to confront the Separatist Allied Front. Facing two thousand armed zealots, he relies on steady nerve to probe an enclave where discovery is fatal and backup is hours away.

After confronting a Russian triple agent, Chapel must infiltrate a separatist militia group to track and seize contraband Russian weaponry. But the militia leader has his own agenda ... and an ace up his sleeve.
Covert Operations: Operating out of an underground Pentagon bunker, Military Intelligence director Rupert Hollingshead deploys Chapel on deniable missions that carry zero official footprint.

Action Adventure: His sharp-witted operator Angel uses satellite tracking and unmanned aerial drones to provide his only lifeline in hostile territory.

High-Stakes Suspense: Charismatic militia commander Terry Belcher, a Gulf War veteran turned extremist, commands a private army ready to spark a nationwide catastrophe.
