La historia

'Cachitos de hierro y cromo' es un programa documental español de temática musical, dirigido por Jero Rodríguez y presentado por Virginia Díaz. Es una muestra musical sin complejos del legado sonoro de RTVE en forma de actuaciones en plató de programas como ‘Aplauso’, ‘Galas del Sábado’, ‘Mapa Sonoro’, ‘Zona Franca’ o ‘Los Conciertos de Radio 3'.

Durante cerca de 60 años, artistas y otros especímenes han asaltado las pantallas de los televidentes. El resultado es una polifonía de imágenes y recuerdos en la que cabe desde James Brown a Camela, desde Perales a REM, desde Gabinete a Violent Femmes. Y así todo el rato. Nuestra arma secreta ha sido el archivo histórico de TVE, el depositario de la memoria colectiva española desde hace más de medio siglo.
